Analysis of two magazines

This magazine cover is not conventional at all as looks vbasic and is basically just a picture of Jay-z with very little writing. This doesn’t mean it isn’t a good magazine cover though. It is a cover that ‘does what it says on the tin’ and is still very appealing to the readers eye. Just like the other magazine below, the colour is coordinated  and for this magazine there is approx. 4 fonts used and 2 seperate colours coloured fonts. the other colours in the back is just like a fairly light cover from the cottom to a darker shade in the top right hand corner.

This mixmag issue is as most others of this magazine, vibrant, exciting, eye catching and very colour. The main picture is a full body shot of a man jumping and full of excitement. This will attract the reader making them believe the magazine will be fun to read. Also when someone looks at the magazine rack this magazine will stick out, this is because of the colours, they are very bright and so our eyes will automatically see it.

Neither magazine cover can be said to be better that the other because the magazines are very different but many people would be more attracted to the mix mag as it is a lot more vibrant and eye catchy, but if you wanted to read about rap, you would obviously go for the clash magazine but more dance and party is mix mag.
